Biography

Scott Sandefur recently retired as the Vice President of Manufacturing Workforce Strategy for General Motors, following a long career as lead labor negotiator between GM and the UAW.  Currently, he is the Chairperson for Focus:Hope in Detroit, a civil and human rights organization, and is a Senior Advisor at Global Labor & Employee Relations Network.

Education:

  • Master of Science in Industrial Relations (MSIR) – Purdue University
  • Bachelor of Science in Management – Purdue University
  • Certificate for Program on Negotiation for Senior Executives – Harvard Law School
  • Certificate for Program on Negotiation Master Class – Harvard Law School

Sandefur primarily teaches the MA seminars on strategic analysis of human resources issues in North America (ELR 8500) and international labor relations (ELR 8000).
